Several scholarship programs utilize the Common Scholarship Application. Please see the "Application" heading under each scholarship listing to determine if the Common Scholarship Application form may be used.
Completed scholarship application packets consist of the Common Scholarship Application form, an essay indicating why you are a good candidate for scholarship awards, and a list of scholarships for which you are applying. For each scholarship listed, you should include a short paragraph addressing how you meet criteria specific to that scholarship.
Deadline to submit completed application packets is April 1, 2013.
The College Opportunity Fund (COF) provides a stipend to eligible Colorado resident undergraduate students. The stipend pays a portion of total in-state tuition while attending a Colorado public or participating private institution. Students wishing to use these funds must apply for the College Opportunity Fund and also authorize WSCU to access the funds on your behalf.
If you have received the COF stipend previously, you do not need to reapply. However, you may need to authorize the use of the funds.
In order to authorize the use of your COF stipend, you must first log on to your MyWSCU account. Select "School Resources". Next, select "Student Services and Financial Aid.” From there, select "Student Records," and finally choose "COF Stipend Authorization." Select the term you wish to update and check the appropriate box to decline or accept the stipend.
You may authorize the COF stipend when registering for classes at the beginning of each semester or you may choose the 'lifetime authorization' option (by choosing the lifetime authorization you will only need to be complete the authorization once).
