Getting to Gunnison

Driving to WSCU

Gunnison is located off of U.S. Highway 50.

To reach campus take Highway 50 to Adams Street (McDonalds is on the corner), go north for 2 blocks and enter parking lot. Visitor parking is available in this parking lot. If all visitors parking spaces are full, feel free to park in any available parking spot as you do not need a parking permit.  Come into the Welcome Center in Taylor Hall to check-in for your visit. 

If you are traveling to WSCU during the winter, check out Colorado’s Department of Transportation web site for up-to-date road condition reports.

Flying into Gunnison

The Gunnison-Crested Butte Regional Airport is about a 5 minute drive from campus.  The airport provides year-round service to the area. Ground transportation, rental cars and shuttle service are also available. For more information visit the Gunnison-Crested Butte Tourism Association website.

Denver Bus Service

Round-trip bus service is available from Denver to Gunnison. Visit the Black Hills Stage Lines website for schedules and to purchase tickets.
